Sales Price and Currency

When shopping in our web store, you can pay in the "Currency of the Delivery Destination Country". Check the product sales price on each product page, confirm the displayed currency, and enjoy your shopping.

You can add items to your shopping cart even if the selling price is displayed in a currency other than the destination country, but once you proceed to the checkout and enter the destination country, it will automatically change to the currency of the country you entered.

It is possible to enter a billing address that is different from the delivery address. However, if the delivery address and billing address are in different countries, payment will be made in the currency of the delivery destination country.

*Concerning the consignment sale items, we generally do not accept orders from overseas customers as we do not accept credit card payments for those items. But if you are interested in a consignment sale item and if you can send money in JPY to Japanese bank, please contact us to get detailed information.

*For repair services, we only accept payment in Japanese yen. Please note that we cannot accept payment for repair fees in any currency other than Japanese yen.

To customers in U.S.
Due to the temporary suspension of mail delivery from Japan to the U.S., Kanto Camera products and other items cannot be purchased in USD. Even if you add items to your shopping cart in other currency, they will be automatically removed from your cart if you enter the U.S. as the shipping country. Please wait until mail delivery resumes.

About Japan's Consumption Tax

If the sales price is displayed in Japanese yen, the product price includes the Japan's consumption tax.

If you live in Japan (if the product is shipped to a Japanese address), you must pay Japanese consumption tax. If you live overseas, you will still be required to pay Japanese consumption tax if the product is shipped to a Japanese address.

However, since consignment items are not subject to consumption tax, the listed price of consignment items does not include consumption tax.

Taxes for International Orders

If the sales price is displayed in a currency other than Japanese yen (if the shipping destination is outside of Japan), the product price does not include the Japan's consumption tax.

If you live overseas (if products are shipped to an overseas address), you are exempt from the Japanese consumption tax, but you must pay the tax specified for your country (delivery destination country). In addition, you may be charged an import clearance fee. Please note that these taxes and fees are to be paid by the customer upon receipt of the products.

Order Confirmation and Billing Schedule

When you place an order, an “Order Confirmation E-mail” will be sent to your e-mail address. The order is confirmed by that e-mail.

Credit Card (PayPal, Shop Pay, Goggle Pay, Apple Pay) : Payment will be transacted when placing an order.

Bank Transfer/Postal Transfer : Please pay within 7 days of placing an order. We will confirm a payment with the name, so please transfer the money in the name of the person who placed the order.
If payment is not made within 7 days after the order is placed, the order will be automatically cancelled. In the unlikely event that your payment is delayed, please contact us by replying to the order confirmation e-mail.

The following shipping method and shipping fees apply depending on the type of the products and size of the ordered products (weight of the ordered products for international shipping).
The shipping costs listed below include packaging.

Shipping to an Address in Japan

Shipping to an Address in Japan
Order will be shipped within 4 business days after confirming the payment.

*For a specific delivery date and time, please enter the details in the comments section of the shopping cart when placing your order. Please specify a delivery date that is 5 business days or later from the date of payment. Please select a delivery time from the list below.

*Depending on the delivery date and time requested, we may not be able to respond to your request. Also, there may be a delay in delivery due to weather or traffic conditions.

The Rules for Cancellation

We basically do not accept order cancellations for customer's own reason.

If you choose bank transfer or postal transfer for your payment method, the due date is within 7 days after your order is placed. If payment is not made within the due date, the order will be automatically cancelled.

The Rules for Product Exchanges, Returns and Refunds

Product Exchanges, Returns and Refunds due to customer's own reasons
We do not accept product exchanges, returns and refunds for customer's own reason. Please check the product thoroughly before placing your order. If you have any questions, please contact us using the inquiry form in advance.

If you received an incorrect product
Please contact us within 7 days of receipt by replying to the "Order Confirmation Email" with a photo of the incorrect product attached. We will send you a correct product as soon as we confirm the photo and the details.
We will cover the shipping fees for exchanging the products in this case. We will enclose a return envelope, so please return the incorrect product to us.
*We are unable to exchange products after 7 days of receipt. Please check the product as soon as you receive it.

If you received a defective Kanto Camera Brand New Product
In the unlikely event that a new Kanto Camera product is defective, please contact us within 7 days of receipt by replying to the "Order Confirmation Email" with a photo of the defective product attached. We will reply you within 2 business days. Our exchange method will be either "1" or "2" below.

1. If we find that the product is clearly defective by the photos provided, we will send you a new product as soon as possible. We will include an envelope for you to return the defective product, so please return the defective product to us.

2.If we are unable to judge whether the product is defective after looking at the attached photos, we will ask you to send the product back to us, so that we will be able to inspect the it to judge. Please send the product back to us by "Letter-Pack Light", and bear the shipping costs.
(For international customers, we will let you know the details when you contact us.)

If we find it defective upon inspection, we will send you a new product as soon as possible. As for the amount of the "Letter Pack Light" shipping fee you paid, we will include postage stamps instead of a refund.
(Note: If you use a shipping method other than "Letter Pack Light", the postage stamps we can include will be up to 430 JPY.)

If we find that the product is not defective upon inspection, we will resend the product as is via "Yu-Packet". In this case, we will send you a bill for the reshipment, and will ship the product after we receive the payment.

*Regarding the battery adapters, if your camera or light meter has a problem, it may not function properly even if you use a suitable battery adapter and a battery. To determine whether the battery adapter is defective or not, we need to ask you to send the battery adapter to us as described in "2" above.

*If you send the product back to us using a shipping method without a tracking number and if it does not reach us for some reason, we cannot take any responsibility nor we cannot exchange the product.

*We are unable to exchange products after 7 days from the date of arrival of them. Please check the condition of the product as soon as you receive it.

*We are unable to accept returns or refunds in any cases.

If you found a problem with an Used Product
We do not accept exchanges, returns or refunds for used products.
For the used products with warranty, we offer in-warranty repair. For the details, please refer to “Repair Warranty for Used Cameras and Lenses” below.
For the used products without warranty, they are sold as is condition basis, we will not be able to provide warranty repair even if they have defects. Please consider well before placing your order.
We recommend that you take a look at a used product in person at the store if you are concerned about the details of its condition.

Repair Warranty for Used Cameras and Lenses

Please check the product description page for repair warranty and warranty period.
For products with a repair warranty, a warranty document is included with the product at the time of delivery. The warranty document will not be reissued if lost, so please do not lose it.

1. If a product under warranty fails, we will repair it free of charge for a specified period of time from the date of purchase (delivery date). If you would like to have the product repaired under warranty, please contact us by replying to the “Order Confirmation E-mail” or by using the contact form. We will respond to your email within two business days.

2. After reviewing our response, please send us the product along with the warranty document.
Please note that the customer is responsible for all shipping (bringing) costs. If the product is returned to an address in Japan after being repaired under warranty, we will cover the return shipping costs. If the product is shipped to an overseas address, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping costs.

*Due to the nature of used products, the warranty will only apply if it is clearly impossible to take a photograph. We cannot guarantee fine accuracy. In addition, we cannot perform warranty repairs due to scratches, individual differences, or sensations or feelings. If a part needs to be replaced during a warranty repair, we may ask the customer to cover for the cost of the part.

*The following cases will not be covered by the warranty even if they are within the warranty period, and repairs will be subject to a fee. Furthermore, depending on the condition of the product, it may not be possible to repair it.
1. Misuse. 2. Breakdown caused by disassembly performed by a repair place other than a manufacturer-certified repair shop or our company. 3. Breakdown caused by exposure to mud, sand, water, dropping, impact, etc. 4. Breakdown caused by fire, natural disasters, earthquakes, etc. 5. Breakdown caused by improper storage (storage in a hot and humid place, or in a place containing naphthalene or camphor, battery leakage, etc.) or improper maintenance. 6. If the warranty document is not attached. 7. If the date of purchase is not written, or if the written information has been corrected.

*The repair warranty only covers the main body of the product; accessories (cases, straps, lens caps, etc.) and consumables included with the product (batteries, etc.) are not covered by the warranty.

*We cannot guarantee against any incidental damage caused by product failure (such as the costs incurred in taking photographs and loss of profits that could have been gained from taking photographs, etc.).

About Kanto Overhaul Products

Our overhaul is basically a repair aimed at restoring functions. The exterior is only cleaned during the overhaul. Scratches and dents are left as they are unless they cause malfunctions. Also, our policy is to "provide repairs for practical purposes," so we may use non-genuine (non-original) parts.
Since they are second-hand items (pre-owned items), the finish varies from item to item. If you find any malfunctions within the warranty period, we offer warranty repair (refer the Warranty Repair). We don't accept returns or refunds. When you care about the details, we recommend that you come to our shop and take a look at the item in person if possible.
We would appreciate it if you would understand the above before placing an order.

We use our store displays and website to showcase the consignment items. We do not inspect the details of the consignment item. They are sold as is, and do not come with a repair warranty. We do not accept returns or refunds.

Please consider having repairs after purchase or in the future if necessary. If you have any concerns about the details, we recommend that you come to the store to see them in person.

*For consignment items, we accept only cash (bank transfer or postal transfer).
*We do not accept reservations or holds for consignment items.
*If we confirmed that an item had been repaired or overhauled by Kanto Camera, we remark it. However, it won't ensure the current condition of the item.
*The remarks that the product has been repaired or overhauled by other repair company are information from the sellers, but not confirmed by us.
*As for the accessories belong to the item, we haven't confirmed the use, neither.
*We do not provide instructions on how to use consigned items.
