1. Contact us using the Inquiry Form
If you are interested in having your film cameras or lenses repaired at our shop, please contact us using the Inquiry Form first. After submitting the form, a "Confirmation of Inquiry Reception Email" will be sent to you automatically.

2. Email us Some Photos of Repair Item
Once you receive the "Confirmation of Inquiry Reception Email", please reply to the email with some photos to show us the condition of the repair item (Photos of the front, back, top, and bottom show the entire item. As well as photos show the problem area, if possible).
After you email us the photos, we will respond within 5 business days to let you know whether we can accept your repair request. If we we can accept it, we will give you a rough repair cost and turnaround time as well.
*Depending on your inquiry and the condition of the repair item, we may not be able to provide you with a rough repair cost or turnaround time. Please note that even if we provide you with this information, we cannot guarantee its accuracy.
*Even if we respond saying that we can accept your repair request, it depends on the condition of the item. We will determine whether we can actually accept the repair request after checking the item in person.
*We are unable to provide repair services for items that are missing important parts or have been disassembled.
*Our service specializes in classic film cameras and lenses. We do not provide repair services for digital cameras and lenses.
*We do not provide repair services for electrically controlled products, even if they are film cameras or film camera lenses.
*We produce spare parts if we deem them necessary, but we do not produce individual parts as requested by customers or parts that would be too expensive to produce as repair services. We appreciate your understanding.
*If the person in charge is unavailable, it may take us more than five business days to contact you. We appreciate your understanding.

3. If you would like to have the item serviced after receiving a "Repair Acceptable" response, please reply to us by return.

4. Submit Estimate (Repair) Request Form
Please access the Link we provide, and submit the Estimate (Repair) Request Form after reading the Repair Terms and Conditions. Once you submit the form, a "Confirmation of Estimate (Repair) Reception Email" will be sent to you automatically.
To Customers Bringing Repair Items to the Store
You need an appointment to bring your repair item to the store. Please enter your preferred visit date and time when you fill out the form. After you submit the form, we will contact you by email to confirm your appointment. Your appointment will not be booked until we contact you, so please wait for our email. If we are not available on your preferred date and time, we will ask you to reschedule.
Available Hours: 10:00~, 11:00~, 13:00~, 14:00~, 15:00~, 16:00~ *Closed on Sundays, Mondays, and Public Holidays in Japan.

5. Ship / Bring your Repair Item to us after Receiving "Confirmation of Estimate (Repair) Reception Email"
To Customers Sending Repair Items by courier
1. Please confirm that the details in the "Confirmation of Estimate (Repair) Reception Email" , which was sent to you automatically are correct.
2. Before packing your repair item, please read the following points a) to c). (If you are located in abroad, please read point d) as well.)
3. Please send your repair item to us along with a note that includes your contact information: full name, phone number, and email address.
a) Please attach the caps to protect the repair item. Also, make sure to remove any accessories unrelated to the repair.
b) If you need a light leak issue repaired, please send us your camera along with the developed negatives showing the light leak symptoms. In order to identify where the light is leaking, we need to see the area around the frames including the perforations.
c) When sending us your repair item, please use courier services: Yamato/Sagawa/YU-Pack for Japan, and EMS, DHL, FedEx, UPS, SF-Express for International. Please use a cardboard box and plenty enough cushioning materials to protect your item. Please do not send a repair item in a box that rattles or bumps around inside. Do not use "envelopes". If you do, the item may incur shock damage, which could result in a higher repair cost. Alternatively, we may refuse to receive it and return it to you.
d) A 10% consumption tax will be levied on the declared value of all packages sent from overseas, even if the item is being sent for repair. Our company must pay this tax when we receive the package. If you are concerned about damage or loss during international shipping, you will need to declare the correct value and take out appropriate insurance. However, please avoid declaring the value as being unnecessarily high.
On the shipping slip and invoice, please clearly state that the item is a 'used camera' or 'used lens' and that it is being 'sent for repairs'. (Note: Please do not write 'antiques' or similar words.)
When sending items via EMS, packages with a declared value of JPY 200,000 yen or more will incur additional customs clearance fees, which would be JPY 6,600 to JPY 12,000. Please note that these fees, if incurred, will be charged to the customer together with the repair fee.
Packing Method
1. Put an item in a plastic bag or a Ziploc bag.

2. Wrap it with a cushioning sheet.

3. Place plenty of cushioning material in a cardboard box, and put the item in the middle of the box.

4. Fill the box with plenty of cushioning material to prevent the item from moving around inside. Also, cover the item from above to protect it. Be sure to include a note with your contact information inside, including your name, phone number, and email address.

5. Seal it tightly with packing tape.
To Customers Bringing Repair Items to the Store

●About Estimation
To Customers Sending Repair Items by courier
We will send you an estimate via email within 1-2 weeks of receiving your repair item. After reviewing it, please let us know whether you would like to proceed with the repair.
*If you would like to receive an estimate via fax or mail, please contact us. We do not provide estimates over the phone to avoid misunderstandings.
*For models that require sending send to the manufacturer or a repair partner company for repairs, we will let you know an estimate as soon as we receive it.
To Customers Bringing Repair Items to the Store
We usually provide estimates on the spot while customers are in the store. After reviewing the estimate, please let us know whether you would like to proceed with the repair.
*In case we are unable to provide an estimate on the spot, we will ask you to leave the repair item with us. Then, we will send you an estimate via email at a later date.

●Estimate Handling Fees
We provide free estimates for the repairs we perform, but if you ask us to return items after receiving estimates, the following fees will be charged per item.
●Return after estimation at the store : JPY 1,000 (JPY 1,100 including tax)
●Return via carrier after estimation: JPY 2,000 (JPY 2,200 including tax) plus return shipping fee
*We will return the item on a cash-on-delivery basis for customers in Japan.
*If we determine during the estimation that it is not possible to repair the item, we basically will not charge the handling fees. However, if you request an estimate for an item that is highly likely to be unrepairable, we may ask you to pay the handling fees listed above. In any case, if the item is delivered by courier, you will need to pay the shipping fee.
*For repair items that we send to the manufacturer or our service partner, a flat fee of 3,000 JPY (3,300 JPY including tax) and return shipping fee will be charged.
Please note that this fee will be charged not only when you return the item for your own reasons after receiving a formal estimate, but also when the item cannot be repaired, and when you request the repairs.

●Shipping Fees
You are responsible for paying the shipping fee to send an item to us for repair.
We offer free return shipping if the repair cost is 20,000 JPY (excluding tax) or more, however, there are a few exceptions.
Exceptions
1. If the return address is Okinawa, Hokkaido, or overseas.
2. If the package size (total of the length, width, and height) of a single product exceed 100 cm.

●Repair Turnaround Time
We thank you very much for using our company.
We are very much delighted with receiving so many repair orders.
Since the number of repair orders is increasing more than our expectation, we are getting to be unable to promise repair lead time accordingly.
We would like you to kindly consider the lead time as a guide, and please be aware there would be a case that we may be drastically behind schedule.
We are doing our best to complete the repair and deliver the product as soon as possible.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and kind cooperation. Thank you very much.

●About Payment
We only accept payment in Japanese yen for repair services. Please note that we cannot accept payment in any currency other than Japanese yen for repair fees.
You can pay either "when you order the repairs" or "when they are complete." Please let us know which option you prefer.
*After you pay the repair cost, if any additional costs are required during the repair process, we will charge you for them once the repair is complete.
*For items that are highly likely to be unrepairable, we ask that you to pay after the repair is complete.
*Depending on the repairs, we may ask for payment in advance.
[Caution]
We kindly ask that you settle the payment for the repair fee at your earliest convenience after we notify you that the repair is completed. In the event that we are unable to contact you or unable to receive the repair fee within six months after the repair completion, for any reason, we will assume that you have relinquished ownership of the repaired item and will dispose of it at our discretion. We appreciate your understanding.

●About Delivery / Pick Up
Repaired items will be delivered by "shipping." You will also be able to "pick up at the store."
If we are delivering by shipping, the shipping address will be the address that you entered on the "Estimate (Repair) Request Form". If your address changes, please inform us at your earliest convenience. Please note that it will not be possible to change the shipping address if you do not inform us before you reply to the "Repair Completion Email."
For Delivery in Japan
For customers who make payment when the repair is complete
Once the repair is complete, we will send you a "Repair Completion Email" and a "Billing Email". We will ship the item via Yamato Ta-Q-Bin within 2 business days of receiving payment.
*If you have a preferred delivery date, please specify a date 4 business days or later after the payment date. You can choose from the delivery timeframes below.
For customers who pay when you order the repair
Once the repair is complete, we will send you a "Repair Completion Email". Please reply to us. We will ship the item via Yamato Ta-Q-Bin within 2 business days of receiving your reply.

Pick Up at the Store
Once the repair is complete, we will send you a "Repair Completion Email". Please reply to us to schedule a pickup appointment. When you pick up your item, please bring one of the following A or B.
*For customers in Japan, we may contact you by phone once the repair is complete.
A. The copy of the document we gave you when you dropped off your item for repair at the store.
B. The "Repair Completion Email" we sent you, and your "ID" to verify your name and address.

●Tax for International Customers
If you are located overseas, you are exempt from Japanese consumption tax, but you will need to pay the taxes set by your country of residence (or the destination country). You may also be charged import customs clearance fees in your country. Please note that you are responsible for these taxes and fees which will be charged when you receive the repaired item.
When shipping a repaired item overseas, we must declare the total amount to customs, including the item's value, repair costs, return shipping fees, and handling fees. If the total amount exceeds 200,000 JPY, an additional 2,800 JPY will be charged for export customs clearance from Japan.

●Qualified Invoice and Ryoushusho (to Business in Japan)
The "Repair Document" provided with the repaired item serves as the qualified invoice. It will be addressed the person who requested the repair.
If you need a "Ryoushusho", please let us know when requesting a repair or when the repair is complete. Also, please instruct us the name and description you would like to appear on the Ryoushusho.

●Discount Coupon will be Discontinued
We have decided to stop issuing discount coupons.
We will not issue discount coupons for repairs received on or after December 1, 2025. Thank you for your understanding.
For repair items that we received by October 30, 2025, we will issue discount coupons when the repairs complete. You will be able to use the discount coupons until the valid date.
How to use discount coupons
・If you have a discount coupon, please send (bring) the discount coupon along with an item for repair. Please note that the discount will not be applied if the coupon is presented later.
・If you send (bring) the discount coupon along with the item for repair, you will receive a 10% discount on the repair labor cost if you pay by cash (including bank transfer in Japan), and a 5% discount if you pay by other payment method (such as credit card). The discount does not apply to replacement parts.
・One discount coupon is valid for one item for repair. If you have one discount coupon and are requesting repairs for a camera body and lens set (or a camera body and viewfinder set), you will receive a discount on the repair cost for either the camera body or lens (or either the camera body or viewfinder).
- Only one discount coupon can be used per item.
- Discount coupons are valid for one year from their issue date. (If you use a discount coupon, you must request repairs within its validity period.)
- Discount coupons can be transferred.
* This discount system is applicable exclusively for direct dealing (including mailing) to us.
* There are cases in which the discount does not apply.
Notes: Discount coupons will not be reissued under any circumstances. / Discount coupons are not cash vouchers. / Discount coupons do not guarantee service. / The discount system may be changed or canceled without notice. / Cannot be used in conjunction with other services. / Cannot be used during sales periods.
